Copper Clad Steel (CCS) stranded wire combines the high tensile strength of steel as its core and the conductivity properties of copper as its outer layer. The core material is usually low carbon steel and often used for applications like buried ground grids, overhead ground wires, and messenger wires, where both strength and conductivity are important. These wire and cables are available in 30% and 40% electric productivity based on different copper thickness.

Application

Copper-Clad Steel stranded wire is a versatile material that combines the strength of steel with the conductivity of copper, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Often used for buried ground grid systems, overhead ground wire and messenger wire, it can resist mechanical damage during installation, as well as electrical damage during a fault condition. Copper Clad steel has virtually no scrap value, and is extremely difficult to cut with traditional wire and cable cutting tools, greatly reducing the potential of theft.

Construction

EASTFUL provides a copper clad steel strand wire structure. The copper clad steel strand wire structure not only improves current carrying capacity, carrying capacity and fatigue strength, but also has good flexibility. Price of the copper clad steel strand wire structure is lower than price of a drawn copper strand wire or a copper alloy strand wire, and therefore the copper clad steel strand wire structure saves cost. The copper clad steel strand wire structure comprises a center wire and an outer strand wire structure, wherein the outer strand wire structure at least comprises one layer, the center wire is a copper clad steel single wire, and specially is a center copper clad steel single wire, each wire in the outer strand wire structure is another copper clad steel single wire, and specially is an outer layer copper clad steel single wire, inner cores of the center copper clad steel single wire and the outer layer copper clad steel single wire are steel wires, and copper layers wrap outer layers of the center copper clad steel single wire and the outer layer copper clad steel single wire.
